HISTORY
Our Story
The Perham Community Garden has been part of the Perham community for more than 30 years. Most recently, the garden was located behind the Bridge Pantry, with up to 12 raised beds and established community plantings including rhubarb, asparagus, raspberries and herbs. While the garden has quietly served local residents for decades, we saw an opportunity to make it more accessible and more widely known.
In the summer of 2026, community members, local businesses and civic organizations came together to explore what a larger, more accessible garden could look like. That effort led to a generous donation of land off County Highway 34 from RDO, creating space for a one-acre garden, parking and more opportunities for people to grow, learn, volunteer and connect. Today, we’re building on the garden’s 30-year history and growing its future together.
